Length is the main drawback of this film `Preethse Preethse'. The concept of hallucination in the protagonist is tried out rather in a boring style. The crisp handling is lacking from director Madesh who gave a super hit `Gaja' in the last year. Had he limited his elastic style of presentation and added more twists to the first half this would have been a quite convincing film for the youths. However the songs, cinematography actor Yogish and Pragna gives a striking performance.
Timid and love fearing Akash (Yogish) grown up in affluence is good in everything but not when it comes to expressing love to Aishwarya (Udayathara). Instead of telling his thoughts to Aishwarya he goes on dreaming about her. This turns out to be real for the viewers on the screen but for Aishwarya it is senseless. In fact she had met Akash only twice in the 10 plus reels of the film. The imagination of Akash is a sickening issue for him and after knowing that Aishwarya is engaged he pierces a glass in his stomach but saved with proper medical care. When the parents of Aishwarya and Akash are ready for the proposal it becomes quite interesting. Yet Akash is not able to express his love. Knowing the zenith of love of Akash from others Aishwarya starts really loving him. Once again the disease of timidity in Akash he abstain from delivering his thoughts. The open hearted Bipasha (Pragna) always engaging Akash and giving some relief to the audience exit from the life of Akash with grace.
Yogish has the right kind of role for his screen image. He has danced well and fights are brilliant. The dialogue delivery is so casual that does not suit throughout the film. He needs to improve in his variations of dialogues. Pragna as the sacrifice heroine does well to give peppy moments. She is the heroine to watch in the coming days. Udayathara has emoted well. Jai Jagdish and Ramesh Bhat rendered admirable support. Rangayana Raghu in triple role for the first time in his career is drilling.
Anoop Seelin has given the right tunes for the screen image of Yogish. The songs Loose Madha...Sundara Sundra..title track Preethse Preethse.are very good. Veenus Murthy has worked hard to give pleasant treat to the eyes.
This is not a very convincing but confusing film.
