Actor Pratik Gandhi shot to fame after his phenomenal performance as the infamous stockbroker Harshad Mehta in the web show 'Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story'. Apparently the actor was offered several projects after the success of 'Scam' and latest reports suggest that he is set to portray yet another real life character. Filmmaker Mahi V. Raghava has casted Pratik in the titular role for his upcoming YS Jagan Mohan Reddy biopic.

YS Jagan is the current Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. He is the son of former Chief Minister of the state Rajasekhar Reddy who's biopic was also directed by Mahi V. Raghava. Pratik shares a resemblance with YS Jagan and his involvement will give the movie a pan Indian appeal.

A source close to the development shared, "When director Mahi approached Pratik Gandhi for the part, the actor was thrilled to come on board after listening to the gripping narration," says a source, adding, “One of the reasons for casting a Bollywood actor is because it will be a Pan-India film."
