Pratik Gandhi became a household name and an overnight sensation after his phenomenal performance in the critically acclaimed web show 'Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story'. Prior to this, Pratik was a well known name in Gujrati film and theatre industry, however, his popularity in mainstream entertainment was next to zero. The actor recently appeared in the show 'Star Vs Food' where he tried to show his culinary skills and also shared a thing or two about the initial phase of his career.
He said, “I had heard this phrase where ‘if you can’t take the heat, get out of the kitchen’. Now I understand where it comes from. I think more than actor, my engineer side will work in the kitchen."
The actor recalled the start of his career when he used to think that he'd easily make it big but how it took him such a long time to gain nationwide popularity. He said, "When I came to Bombay in 2004, I had an engineering degree in my hand and some sort of theatre experience from my hometown, and I thought I will be making it big soon, but it took almost 16 years to reach this place."
For his upcoming project, Pratik will be seen in Hardik Gajjar' s 'Atithi Bhooto Bhava' alongside Jackie Shroff and
Sharmin Segal.
