Prateik goes all out for his film 'My Friend Pinto'

The release of UTV Motion Pictures and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'My Friend Pinto' is tomorrow and no one could be as anxious and excited as lead actor Prateik, who has gone all out to promote the film that promises to have you laughing off your seats.
Playing the lovable musician Micheal Pinto, Prateik who was touted as the "dark horse of the industry" in his debut film 'Jaane Tu...Ya Jaane Na' (2008), is soon to have audiences in splits in the slice of life comedy also starring Kalki Koechlin that marks the directorial debut of Raaghav Dar.
So excited is the normally reticent actor about his first solo film that he is making sure no stones are left unturned in promoting the movie. Apart from extensively promoting 'My Friend Pinto' in Mumbai, Delhi and Ahmedabad - Prateik also visited colleges across the city on Friendship Day, participated in Garba activities in Ahmedabad and even walked the ramp as showstopper for designer Reena Dhaka at Fashion Week.
Paying tribute to the legendary Raj Kapoor, 'My Friend Pinto' will also be the actor's first film under the guidance of maverick director-producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Says Bhansali who is all praise for the actor, "Prateik is a talent to watch out for. He has done a spectacular job in My Friend Pinto and lights up the screen with his sheer presence. Raaghav too has managed to capture his talent brilliantly in the film."
Talking about how he narrowed in on Prateik for the lead , says director Raaghav Dar, "When I started writing the script, I didn't even know Prateik. But when I was working in Jaane Tu...., I saw him closely and at that point decided that he would be the right person for this part."
