Deva Katta's 'Prasthanam', starring Sarwanand and Sai Kumar, is yet another film that did not see a release in December, when it was first slated, nor in January, when it was expected to hit the marquee. The film is directed by Mr. Katta of Vennela fame.

The film's music released in the month of December. Prasthanam, which literally means 'journey', deals with a character that nurtures political aspirations.

Set in a rural backdrop, the film speaks for political idealism. It has managed to raise a considerable level of curiosity among the votaries of such a genre.

Sarwanand, the budding actor of Gamyam fame, plays the male lead here. Dialogue King Sai Kumar plays his brother. A drama also dealing with relationships in a family, Prasthanam makes a political commentary.

However, his music didn't shine as much later, and we wondered where he was.

'Varudu' Logo out

The logo of Allu Arjun-starrer Varudu has been unveiled at a meet in Hyderabad on the 22nd. Directed by Gun Sekhar, the film is produced by DVV Danayya. The film has the Tamil hero Arya playing the villain.
