Prashanth: Love with Meera Jasmine?

Actor Prashanth is a relieved man these days. The court pronouncing his marriage with Grihalakshmi as null and void has come as a breather. “I can now focus all attention on my career that has taken a beating,” says the actor, who was regarded in industry circles with the title, Top Star.

The actor is currently working on the film ‘Mambattiyan', which is a remake of his dad’s hit, ‘Malayoor Mambattiyan’. “This is perhaps the first time that the son is doing a remake of his father’s hit film, that too, directed by the father himself,” says the actor, who will proceed the film with Ponnar Sankar, an adaptation of Kalaignar’s novel.

Rumours have it that the actor is now romantically linked to actress Meera Jasmine, who plays his love interest in 'Mambattiyan'. “No, there definitely is nothing brewing between us. I am an eligible bachelor now though,” quips the actor, who says he has not decided on getting married anytime now. “My focus is on my career now, marriage will follow next.”
