Popular actor Prashanth was one of the leading heroes during the nineties and new millenium. He still has a huge fan following and recently has completed 'Andhagan' the Tamil remake of the critically acclaimed sleeper hit Hindi film 'Andhadhun'.

A Sri Lankan woman working at the airport in Switzerland lodged a complaint at the Pondy Bazaar Police Station in Chennai that Prashanth cheated her of rupees ten lakhs. Advocates of the handsome actor have counter filed a harassment complaint against the woman.

Prashanth's side has stated that Kumudhini has been harassing him for the past three years with similar charges and sought severe action against her. It is well known that Prashanth is one of the richest actors in Kollwyood with properties and businesses worth hundreds of crores. It is surprising that the woman had leveled charges of cheating a meagre amount by his standards.

On the movie front Prashanth's father Thiagarajan who has produced and directed 'Andhagan' is planning to release the movie on a festive date in the next couple of months. The film has music by Santhosh Narayanan and stars Prashanth, Navarasa Nayagan Karthik, Priya Anand, Simran, Vanitha Vijayakumar and Yogi Babu.
