Tamil cinema's Top Star Prashanth is set for a comeback with the upcoming thriller, 'Andhagan'. This highly anticipated project is the Tamil adaptation of the Hindi blockbuster 'Andhadhun'. Directed by Prashanth's father, the veteran actor Thiagarajan, the film's screenplay is penned by Pattukkottai Prabakar, renowned as the king of crime thriller novels.
'Andhagan' has encountered numerous production challenges and several release delays along the way. The film's team had previously announced an August 15th release date, finally giving fans something to look forward to. However, in a surprising turn of events, the release date has been shifted once more, but this time it's been moved up. The makers have officially confirmed that 'Andhagan' will now hit the screens on August 9th.
The decision to prepone the release of 'Andhagan' to August 9th is reportedly due to the crowded lineup of films set to hit theatres on August 15th, including Chiyaan Vikram's 'Thangalaan', Arulnithi's 'Demonte Colony 2', Keerthy Suresh's 'Raghu Thatha', along with several major Hindi releases. By advancing the release date, the producers aim to give 'Andhagan' its own spotlight before the rush of high-profile films.
