Digital platform is gaining prominence slowly and steadily, and following Bollywood, where stars act in web series and online streaming platform exclusive films, like Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Sacred Games, Radhika Apte starrer Ghoul, the trend is extending to Kollywood as well.

After the recently released Auto Shankar starring Appani Ravi which was well received, there are many more web series in the making, and prominent Kollywood directors and stars like Gautham Menon, Venkat Prabhu, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Bharath are also part of streaming platform exclusive movies and web series.

The latest to join the list of stars entering digital platform happens to be actor Prasanna who will be seen in a Zee5 exclusive series titled as Thiravam. The actor will play a character named Ravi Prakasam who invents Herbal petrol and gets caught in a case, and how he comes out of it. Thiravam is directed by popular cinematographer Arvind Krishna and also stars Indhuja, Kalaiyarasan, Kaali Venkat and John Vijay, and the show premieres on May 21.
