Mammootty and Ram's 'Peranbu' audio launch was held on Sunday at the Kalaivanar Arangam in Chennai with many top directors and celebrities in attendance.  Speaking at the event director Mysskin went over the top praising the project and especially lauding Megastar Mammootty's acting.  He kept repeatedly emphasising the point that Tamil actors would have spoilt the character and what made everyone around uneasy was when he stated that if he was a girl he would rape Mammootty.

Actor Prasanna a close friend of Mysskin has slammed his 'Anjaathey' and 'Thupparivalan' director "Mysskin is a friend of mine. Yet am disgusted and ashamed of his comments on women and tamil actors. Can only feel pity for the people who laughed for it" and has added "It's not about anyone making an issue out of it here. But people shud maintain decency have some etiquette and a sense of what they are spilling when on a public stage".
