Actor Prakashraj, known for his award winning, versatile performances in multiple languages across the country, had taken the political plunge, and is contesting Lok Sabha elections 2019, and he had earlier announced before a month that he will be fighting the elections as an independent candidate from Bangalore central constituency.
Prakashraj had said that this time, it will be the government of people, and said he will question BJP in the parliament. Even before he has filed nominations, a complaint has been filed against Prakashraj. Prakashraj is expected to file his nomination today, and it has been said that he will be accompanied by Aam Aadmi party members and social activists.
In such a situation, a complaint has been filed against Prakashraj by election control official Kumar, citing violation of Model code of conduct. The complaint cited that during a public meeting held at MG Road, Bangalore on March 12, Prakashraj had campaigned for elections, but the permission for the public meeting had been obtained for non political purposes, and Prakashraj campaigning for elections is violation of Model code of conduct. The Election Commission of India is expected to make an enquiry into this complaint soon.
