In the mid of February veteran director J.Mahendran announced that he will be starting a new film with new faces playing the lead roles and Ilaiyaraja will be the music director. The Mahendran-Raja duo has given many classics in 1980’s that include ‘Mullum Malarum’ ‘Uthiripookkal’ and ‘Nenjathai Killadhey.’ Mahendran had stated that he will start the shooting of the new film in March 2014 and complete the entire shoot in May.

There was no news about the film after that. But that does not mean the film has been dropped. Mahendran has in fact finished the songs composing sessions with the maestro in Chennai.

Now the latest news is Prakash Raj who has worked with Ilaiyaraja in his production and directorial venture ‘Un Samyalarayil’ that is slated to release soon will be producing the yet to be titled Mahendran directorial also and the shooting will start soon.
