On this New Year's Day actor Prakash Raj who has been vehemently opposing the ruling BJP had announced that he will be contesting as an independent candidate in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections which will be taking place this summer.

Within a week after that Prakash Raj has announced the constituency from where he will be contesting the election. He has zeroed in on Bengaluru Central constituency in his home state Karnataka. He has also promised to share more details about this very soon with the media.

Prakash Raj has been voicing his opinion against the ruling NDA Government in various platforms. It has to be seen whether the opposition parties including the Congress will support Prakash Raj in the Bengaluru Central constituency or they will nominate their own candidates.
