Superstar Rajinikanth and Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan had announced their intention to contest elections. While the former is yet to formally launch his party the latter has already launched his party and has been touring various places across Tamil Nadu to meet people and listen to their problems.

Now another popular actor has announced that he will contest the upcoming Parliamentary elections scheduled to take place this summer. The actor is none other than Prakash Raj who has been boldly speaking against the alleged communal agenda of the present BJP lead NDA Government. Prakash Raj started his activism after his friend and journalist Gauri Lankesh was murdered by communal forces in Bengaluru.

Prakash Raj has announced that he will contest the 2019 Lok Sabha election as an Independent candidate. However, he has not yet confirmed from where he will contest the election.
