Prakash Raj thanks Puri Jagannadh for starting the 'rocking combo'

Why is Prakash Raj thanking Puri Jagannadh on the day of the release of 'Vakeel Saab'? It's because the versatile actor has played Pawan Kalyan's antagonist in the film. The last time the duo was at loggerheads most effectively (they shared the screen space in 'Jalsa' and 'Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu', too) was in the 1999 film 'Badri', which marked the directorial debut of Puri.
"#VakeelSaabFestivalBegins.... thank you @purijagan for creating #Badri n #Nanda ... the combo ROCKS ..again (sic)," Prakash Raj, who has played lawyer Nanda in the movie, tweeted. Nanda was his name in 'Badri', in which Power Star famously said, "Nuvu Nanda aithe nenu Badri, Badrinath". Since Venu Sriram is a fan of 'Badri', he has retained the name in 'Vakeel Saab'.
Of all the combinations, the one in 'Badri' is remembered the most. 'Suswagatham' comes next but it was more in the realm of non-masala stuff. The duo's scenes in the latest box-office release, a courtroom drama, are coming in for much praise.
Prakash Raj continues to be one of the most sought-after character artists. He is currently doing Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa' as well.
