Rampant protests by political parties, students, farmers and the common public are ongoing across the state for setting up the Cauvery Management Board. However the general notion is that the centre is putting away the issue for laters until karnataka completes its polls.

Meanwhille actor Prakash Raj have opined about the issue if political leaders are actually addressing the issue or just or leveraging it for political mileage. At the same time he has also urged people to seek, pursue, understand and demand for a resolution in the issue. He also stated that only if politics is disentangled from Cauvery, can the people be benefitted.
