Mohanlal recently confirmed that he will be playing the lead role in his much-talked about project Odiyan, the directorial debut of ad film-maker Shrikumar Menon (who will also be directing the epic drama Randamoozham). Produced by Mohanlal's close associate Antony Perumabavoor, for the banner Aashirvad Cinemas, Odiyan will also feature Manju Warrier, Prakash Raj and a leading actor from Bollywood in pivotal roles. Going by reports, Prakash Raj will be playing an antagonist in Odiyan.

Interestingly, Prakash Raj and Mohanlal will be sharing screen space in Odiyan, after a gap of twenty years. The duo last worked together for Mani Ratnam`s Tamil movie Iruvar, for which Prakash Raj won the National award for best supporting actor. The versatile actor who was last seen in Prithviraj`s Anwar back in 2010 is making a comeback to Mollywood after a gap of seven years with the Jayaram starrer Achayans directed by Kannan Thamarakkulam. If all goes well, Odiyan is expected to start rolling on May 25.
