'Sila Samayangalil', meaning 'Sometimes' in English, stars Prakash Raj, Shriya Reddy and Ashok Selvan in lead roles. Directed by Priyadarshan (whose 'Kancheevaram' had a National Award-winning performance by Prakash Raj), the movie is a Tamil social drama based on the five characters who separately reach a lab to test for AIDS. (The director had wanted to make it with Aamir Khan way back in 2010).

As we know the movie has made it to the final round of selection for the 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards. What makes it all the more special is that it's the only feature film from India to have made it to this stage. It's a prestigious American accolade bestowed by 93 members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), recognizing excellence in film and television.

"It is a moment of pride that an Indian movie was among the five out of ten films selected to be screened at Golden Globe Awards, scheduled on October 6, 7 p.m. at Real D screening room. The film was well appreciated and applauded by the judges and viewers. Director Priyadarshan and the lead actor Prakash Raj graced the screening with their presence. The internationally applauded movie was produced by Vijay and Ganesh," a statement reads.

Also starring Nassar, the movie has music by Maestro Ilaiyaraaja. Cinematography is by Sameer Thahir.

Meanwhile, the makers are happy that Prakash Raj-directed 'Mana Oori Ramayanam', the Telugu-Kannada bilingual, has been getting critical acclaim since its release yesterday. "All these couldn't have happened without the support of film critics, websites and social media channels," a statement reads.
