Prakash Raj dares MAA President Manchu Vishnu after two years

The bitter battle that unfolded between Prakash Raj and Manchu Vishnu during the Movie Artists Association (MAA) elections two years ago remains etched in people's memories. Prakash Raj, supported by the Mega Family, was anticipated to clinch victory easily, but Manchu Vishnu surprised everyone by rallying with Mohan Babu and leveraging his resources.

Accusations flew back and forth during that period, even escalating to physical altercations among members. As Manchu Vishnu claimed the MAA presidency, he pledged to deliver results, inviting scrutiny of his and his team's performance after two years. Promising new developments, including constructing a new MAA building and various welfare schemes, Vishnu sought to make substantial changes within the association.

Now, after the two-year term, Prakash Raj, who had maintained a silence, openly challenged Manchu Vishnu's track record. Speaking to journalists, he questioned Vishnu's achievements during his tenure, noting that the two years had elapsed, and the association merely carried out an Annual General Meeting, drawing the focus on the lack of substantial progress.

Regarding the MAA building, Prakash Raj emphasized that accountability should lie with the members who elected the current committee. He criticized the influence of proxy and bogus votes, as well as the involvement of outsiders who flew in just to vote, asserting their disconnection from the association's core interests. He urged the local members in Hyderabad and the influential figures who championed the current team's victory to reflect on the conscience behind their decisions.

When reminded that he had contested the elections with a manifesto, Prakash Raj acknowledged his efforts but highlighted his defeat. He indicated a reluctance to dwell on past defeats and stressed the ultimate concern of whether the voters, rather than the candidates, emerged victorious.

On the prospect of contesting MAA elections again, Prakash Raj cited his busy schedule, filled with pressing national matters, signaling a lack of immediate intentions to re-enter the electoral arena.
