Sundar C is currently acting in the Malayalam remake of Spatikam. The Malayalam version featured Mohanlal in the lead role. Popular Malayalam actor Thilakan played his father, as a strict mathematics teacher.

Excess of control wielded by his father makes Mohanlal grow up into a thug. Whether father and son reconcile in the end forms the rest of the story. The Tamil version is being directed by Sundar C's assistant Badri. Gopika plays the heroine.

Buzz is that Prakash Raj has been approached to do the role enacted by Thilakan in the original. Prakash Raj is one of the rare breed of actors, who can do varied roles. He is comfortable playing the hero, the baddie or the character roles.

According to Badri, Prakash Raj is the apt choice for the role considering his varied roles in the recent films.
