Prakash Raj, who lost to Manchu Vishnu in the recently-held MAA elections, has alleged that there was political interference in the elections to ensure Vishnu's victory. He suggested that an activist of the YCP member, who has in the past met with both Andhra Pradesh CM Jaganmohan Reddy and Vishnu's actor-father Mohan Babu, found his way into the polling booth and tried to influence the outcome of the MAA election.

Sharing a video grab from news reports from the election day, the 'Vakeel Saab' star wrote, "Dear Election officer Krishna Mohan garu, this is just the beginning. Give us the CCTV footage and we will let the world know what happened. How the elections were conducted (sic)." Prakash Raj wants access to the CCTV footage before it is destroyed.

More than 10 days after the conclusion of the elections, MAA continues to be in the news for all the wrong reasons. Meanwhile, Vishnu has set up an internal committee to address the issue of sexual harassment in MAA. He will be working closely with a team, led by a human rights activist. Vishnu took the oath earlier this week. Mohan Babu said that he and Vishnu will be calling on Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao very soon.
