Similar to how Rajini and Kamal are trying to make inroads in Tamil Nadu politics Prakash Raj too has become a strong voice against politicians in Karnataka although he has not made any announcement about floating a party.

In a recent interview Prakash Raj has lashed out against people making statements about Cauvery issue.  He has posted "To those who politicise river Kaveri issue.. to those who make irresponsible statements.. to those trolls who question my integrity by misinterpreting my anguish on this issue. Prakash Raj in a Kannada interview has said that anyone right from Rajini and Kamal to Vatal Nagaraj are irresponsible in their statements on the issue.  He has also added that they do not know how much the TMC metric is and should not talk about Cauvery without knowing that.  He has blamed encroachments, coffee estates and other exploitations on the Cauvery river bed by politicians to be the reason for the current situation.  He also informs that the river is a small one and it should be used judiciously to provide water for the needs of Bengaluru and Tamil Nadu.
