The shoot of 'Om Namo Venkatesaya' has been going on at a brisk pace in Annapurna Studios. Akkineni Nagarjuna has teamed up for a devotional with K Raghavendra Rao for the fourth time since 'Annamayya'. While Anushka is playing a 'sadhvi' here, Pragya Jaiswal of 'Kanche' fame and Vimala Raman are seen in extended roles.

KRR seems to be preparing his actors one after one for their roles. He asked Pragya to drop by on the sets and the fledgling actress did the same. She was seen on the sets noticing things and sharing lighter moments with the director.

Most of the story is told in the backdrop of Tirumala forests. Mahesh Reddy, who produced Shirdi Sai, is the producer. Nagarjuna, KRR, and Keeravani have come together after Annamayya, Sri Ramadasu, Shirdi Sai, and now for this film. The film is based on a mix of fact and fiction.
