Pragathi Guruprasad shot to fame by impressing as a contestant in a music-based reality show on a popular television channel and has sung hit songs in 'Vanakkam Chennai', 'Paradesi', 'Kadhalum Kadanthu Pogum', 'Ratsasan' and 'Kannae Kalaimane'. A few years back director Bala started a new movie with Pragathi and 'Saattai' Yuvan as the lead pair but the project was shelved after a few days of shooting.

Pragathi has posted a pic on her social media page in which she is seen sipping from a beer glass at the Dublin Guinness Store. She has captained it "This beer was purchased for the sole purpose of taking this photo and the one sip I did have tasted like". Netizens have been shocked by the post but since the talented singer has cleared the air about it there are more of appreciation than trolls.

Pragathi is rumoured to be in a relationship with actor Ashok Selvan of 'Thegidi' fame but she had made it clear that they are just friends and slammed the media for the reports.
