Is Pradeep Ranganathan replacing Sivakarthikeyan in new movie?

Pradeep Ranganathan made his debut as director with the sleep hit ‘Comali’ starring Jayam Ravi and Kajal Aggarwal. He hit it out of the park with his sophomore project ‘Love Today’ in which he also played the lead with young actress Ivana.  He is now much in demand as an actor as well as a director.

We broke the news first to you that director Vignesh Shivan has approached Pradeep to play the lead in his new project that will reportedly be produced by Kamal Haasan’s RKFI. It is well known that the ‘Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal’ maker was supposed to direct Ajith kumar’s ‘AK 62’ but dropped out and is keen to make a huge impact with his next project.  

Fresh reports suggest that the film will be titled ‘LIC’ aka ‘Love Insurance Corporation’. The interesting thing is that sources say that it is the same project that Vicky planned with Sivakarthikeyan five years back.  Lyca Productions had even announced it officially as ‘SK 17’ but it never took off for various reasons.  It is said that the film will go on floors soon with a possibility of Vijay Sethupathi also starring in an important character. If this turns out to be a fact then Pradeep Ranganathan will be playing a character written for Sivakarhtikeyan.  Stay tuned for the official update.
