Prabhu has every reason to be pleased as punch.

His Chandramukhi is the hit of the season and Sivaji Productions has got the right award on its silver jubilee year.

A happy Prabhu is gearing up for his next release Gusthi. His career itself seems to be back on the right track and he owes all the success to Rajnikanth and P Vasu.

Asked about reports that he is gearing up for a directorial venture, Prabhu says, "no. certainly not. I am only a good actor and not a director. Direction is not an easy job. He is the Captain of the Ship and his responsibilities are vast. I know all the troubles and travails of assistant and associate directors".

So what is his motivation?

"I have decided to give talented youngsters a chance to wield the megaphone in our home production. That's a great tribute to my father, who had created many directors and producers here".
