It has been rumoured that senior Kollywood actor Prabhu, who was seen as Rajinikanth's friend in 'Chandramukhi', has been infected with the coronavirus. Rumourmongers have had it that Prabhu was absent at a memorial event at his house for his late father Sivaji Ganesan's birth anniversary because he had tested positive.

The news is that Prabhu has refuted the rumour. He has clarified to the media that the news is absolutely false. He added that he had twisted his ankle and that he did not want to get the guests anxious by walking with a limp at the ceremony in his house. So, he stayed away from it. Prabhu is hale and healthy.

Prabhu is currently playing an important role in the underproduction mega multi-starrer 'Ponniyin Selvan' directed by Mani Ratnam and costarring Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi and Jayaram.
