Prabhu on a different avatar

Yesteryear hero Prabhu has settled down to do character roles and characters with substance. Son of thespian Sivaji Ganesan, Prabhu had been part of over a hundred films as hero.

The actor who chose to do character roles in the recent past after a host of young artistes occupied Tamil screen, won accolades doing films like 'Pasakiligal', 'Unakkum Enakkum', 'Billa', 'Thamirabarani' among others with 'Silambattam' being the latest.

He is currently working in 'Malai Malai' as Arun Vijay's brother besides Mani Ratnam's 'Ashokavanam' which is being shot in Madhya Pradesh.

Meanwhile, as part of his Sivaji Productions, efforts are on to produce movies. Buzz is that they would churn out an Ajith starrer beginning next month.
