That Prabhu Deva's performance during the inaugural ceremony of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in Chennai earlier this week was a huge hit, is known to all. The interesting thing is that it coincided with his birthday.

To celebrate both the occasions, the choreographer-actor-filmmaker hosted a party to his close friends in the industry. "It was a well-organized bash attended by crème de la crème of Tamil film world," sources say.

Vijay, Suriya, 'Jayam' Ravi, Vishal, Shankar, Khushboo with her husband Sundar C, Trisha and others attended the party, it is learnt. Apparently confirming this, Khushboo wrote on her microblogging page that she and her husband had a lovely time at the party.

On the professional front, Prabhu Deva is currently wielding the megaphone for Akshay Kumar starrer Bollywood flick 'Rowdy Rathore', which is a remake of Tamil hit 'Siruthai'. Also, he is set to play the lead role in a multilingual titled 'ABCD' ('Anybody Can Dance').
