After ‘R...Rajkumar’, Prabhu Deva is yet again facing title issue with his latest directorial ‘Action Jackson’.

Buzz is that Hollywood production house Warner Bros has demanded an explanation from the producers of the film Baba Films and Eros Entertainment as the rights of the title ‘Action Jackson’ is owned by the international banner. Incidentally ‘Action Jackson’ is a 1988 film starring Carl Weathers and Sharon Stone produced by Warner Bros.

It is said that Warner Bros had sent a 48 hour legal notice to the Hindi filmmakers citing either to change the title or face legal consequences.

On the other hand, producer Gordhan Tanwani has justification that they had registered the title ‘Action Jackson’ with several producers’ associations including IMPAA (Indian Motion Picture Producers' Association), the Guild, AMPTPP (Association of Motion Pictures and Television Programme Producers) within India. And he further states, it was observed that during the one month notice period of title registration, no one had come forward to object the procedure. Following this, a NOC was granted. Considering all these points, Tanwani is determined to sort out the problem and he is going to send a letter to Warner Bros; explaining the facts.

Slated to release on 6th June 2014, ‘Action Jackson’ stars Ajay Devgn, Sonu Sood and Yami Gautam in lead.

Earlier, similarly Prabhu Deva’s ‘R...Rajkumar’ had problems with the film’s title over the using of ‘Rambo’ name. Since it was associated with iconic Hollywood feature series ‘Rambo’, Prabhu Deva and team had dropped the name from their film’s title to avoid any major problem.
