Director S.S.Rajamouli's 'Baahubali 2, the most anticipatrd sequel to the epic blockbuster of 2015, has released on a massive scale in Chennai.
The Tamil, Telugu and Hindi versions of the historical fantasy film released in 21 screens and had 247 shows put together on the first day. With this, the film has collected Rs.91,38,470 on Day 1.
The Tamil version has collected Rs.75,94,610 while the Telugu version has collected Rs.14,01,270. The Hindi dubbed version of the film has collected Rs.1,42,490.
With this, 'Baahubali 2' stands as the fourth highest in Chennai Box Office in terms of collections made in Chennai Box office. The first three spots are retained by 'Kabali','Theri' and 'Bhairavaa'.
It must be noted that the early morning shows and the special morning shows of the film were cancelled at the last moment and the first show begun only at 11 am in Chennai as well as other parts of Tamil Nadu. If those shows were screened as per the plan, 'Baahubali 2' would have probably set a new record.
