'Project K' is one of the biggies in the pipeline of Rebel Star Prabhas. The massive-budget film is touted to be a science fiction drama directed by Nag Ashwin. On the occasion of Mahashivaratri, the makers of Project K took to social media to announce the official release date.

Vyjayanthi Movies broke that Project K will debut on the silver screens on 12th January 2024 with a new stunning poster and captioned it, "𝟏𝟐-𝟏-𝟐𝟒 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐬! #𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐊 Happy Mahashivratri." The poster teases three futuristic soldiers standing before a hand-shaped stone in the middle of a desert while a post-apocalyptic world is presented in the background.

Project K is expected to be a dystopian sci-fi venture in the likes of 'Dune' and 'Star Wars'. The stellar star cast of this magnum opus comprises Deepika Padukone as the female lead with Amitabh Bachchan, Disha Patani and others in key roles. Mickey J Meyer is composing the musical score for the highly anticipated movie.

Project K is the 50th project of the production house Vyjayanthi Movies. The film is said to be made on a budget of around Rs 500 crores and it is regarded as one of the most expensive Indian films ever made. On the film front, Prabhas also has 'Adipurush' slated to hit the screens on 16 June 2023 and 'Salaar' will be released on 28 September 2023.
