Whoa! Prabhas & Kamal Haasan in ‘Project K’ to create history with comic-con debut

'Project K' is one of the biggest film events in Indian cinema history, which brings together the generational stars Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Prabhas. Made at a whopping sum, this is touted to be a magnum opus sci-fi venture directed by the 'Mahanati' filmmaker Nag Ashwin.

Now, the breaking news is that Project K will have a panel at the San Diego Comic-Con. In fact, Project K is the first Indian film to debut at a comic con in the USA. The SDCC is scheduled to happen between July 20 to 23 with an opening party on July 19th. Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, the makers of Project K officially announced this news on social media.

According to Variety, Vyjayanthi Movies will offer fans a look at the film as part of an opening night party on July 19. On July 20, the Project K team will host a panel titled “This is Project K: First Glimpse of India’s Mytho-Sci-fi Epic” with Prabhas, Kamal and Deepika during which the film’s full title, teaser trailer and release date will be revealed. The stars will also feature in a performance on SDCC’s largest stage.

Director Nag Ashwin said, "We are thrilled to present ‘Project K”s debut at San Diego Comic-Con. India’s storytelling tradition has ancient roots, with its epics serving as the origins of many civilizations worldwide. A world as big as this needs a platform as big to introduce it to the people. Comic-Con felt like the perfect place, where the honesty and enthusiasm needed for ‘Project K’ will be found.”

The producers said the statement, "This exclusive event will transport guests into India’s most ambitious cinematic universe yet with their captivating storytelling, futuristic setting, and ‘Spice Punk’ aesthetic inspired by the film." Rana Daggubati’s Spirit Media is backing the movie team at this global cinema event.
