Director Nag Ashwin of 'Mahanati' fame is currently doing 'Project K' with Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone. On Friday, the filmmaker made a public request to billionaire Anand Mahindra of Mahindra & Mahindra (the Indian multinational automotive manufacturing corporation) to help his team build futuristic vehicles for the sci-fi film that he is making.

Tagging Mahindra, Ashwin wrote, "A few vehicles we are building for this world are unique and beyond the tech of today. If this film does what it is supposed to, it will be the pride of our nation."

He said that a talented, fully Indian team of engineers and designers have been working on 'Project K' but they are not adequate. "The scale of the project is such that we could use a hand..such a film has never been attempted before...it would be an honor if you can help us engineer the future," Ashwin further wrote, launching his request.

A while ago, Mahindra said that a leadership team at Mahindra Group will lend their helping hand. "How could we refuse an opportunity to help you envision the future of mobility? Our Chief of Global Product Development Velu Mahindra will, I am sure happily throw his weight behind you. Velu developed the XUV 700 and already has his feet in the future," he wrote.
