Prabhas picked me, I didn't choose him: Sujeeth

Sujeeth has on Friday interacted with the media while releasing the video version of the second single. In this interview, he talks about various aspects of 'Saaho', which releases on August 30.
Why did you postpone the release date?
The post-production works, including VFX, are going on fine. We had to postpone the release date because we wanted a solo release (in Hindi). The new release date is also close to Vinayaka Chavithi.
How integral is the love story to the main story?
Love story is a crucial part of the story. This particular song ('Ye Chota Nuvvunna') was very much needed; it's part of the narration.
What made you work with Prabhas?
I didn't pick Prabhas garu. He picked me. When we cogitated over who will fit the bill opposite him, we could only think of Shraddha Kapoor.
There is this allegation that some of the posters of the movie are rip-offs. What do you have to say?
From which Hollywood movie have we copied the posters? If you mention the names of those movies, I can comment on the charge.
A video game of 'Saaho' is going to be unveiled in the second half of this month. What is the idea behind it?
The 'Saaho Game' is a video game that we are going to launch to meet the audience's high expectations. We thought a video game would be the most interesting platform to popularize the movie, especially since 'Saaho' is an action movie.
Does the film meet international standards?
We didn't consciously set out to make a film with international standards. People have access to Netflix, etc. We only want to show something unseen in the movie. My product will speak for itself.
Why did you choose four different music directors for the four songs?
'Saaho' is not the first movie that has gone in for a separate music director for each song. There is no risk in doing it. Every song needed some variation. It was not planned. It just happened that way. We wanted to get the songs done faster. Everyone has their own style.
You had to wait for several years for Prabhas after delivering a hit with 'Run Raja Run'. How do you see it?
I didn't plan it that way. The future is not in your hands. The waiting process was worth it. I got to learn so much. The pre-production was detailed. The production works became easy because of that.
'Ye Chota Nuvvunna' seems quite dreamy. Isn't it?
I am not a fan of dream songs. This is the only dream song in the movie. The other songs take the story forward. Even this one dream song has a rationale.
How difficult were the Abu Dhabi and other foreign schedules?
Seeking permissions to shoot on roads was not an easy task. It involved a lot of paperwork, for example.
What do you think made Prabhas choose you?
Why Prabhas garu gave me the opportunity to direct him is something you have to ask him. I have always respected him as a person. I have made this film out of respect for him.
Did you make any changes to the script after the release of 'Baahubali'?
I made no changes to the story even after 'Baahubali' came. I only perked up the action sequences because we had so much to plan.
Are you intending to better 'Baahubali'?
Don't compare me to the likes of Shankar garu and Rajamouli garu. I always love Shankar garu's songs. I have tried to make a song in 'Saaho' to match to his standards.
