KT Rama Rao, the IT Minister of Telangana, has a new theory. He has claimed that 'Adipurush' is being made to do a favour to the political interests of the Hindutva party BJP.
Speaking to journos on Monday, the TRS leader opined that 16 films are being made with the sole aim of ratcheting up the political appeal of the BJP. He targeted even 'The Kashmir Files', the Bollywood blockbuster that has netted more than Rs 250 Cr.
As per KTR, the more than a dozen movies, including Prabhas' 'Adipurush', are going to be released strategically to politically help the saffron party. 'Adipurush', said KTR, will be released ahead of elections so that voters think about the era of Lord Rama.
KTR's opinions will now be debated nationally. It is suspected that either Prashant Kishor or Prakash Raj is influencing KTR. In the past, Prabhas was said to be pro-BJP but the fact is that the 'Radhe Shyam' actor has been politically aloof. He has never dissed or supported any party despite his uncle, Krishnam Raju, being a Modi fan.
