Recently, producer Swapna Dutt shared exciting news about the sequel, stating, "Kalki 2 will start in January or February 2025, and it will take 3 years to finish. This time there's a lot more excitement." Based on her timeline, "Kalki 2898 AD Part 2" is expected to release in 2028.
In this cinematic marvel, Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan portrays the powerful character of Kali. Set in a post-apocalyptic world in the year 2898 AD, the story follows a group of people on a mission to save the unborn child of a lab subject, Kalki. The film features music composed by Santhosh Narayanan, cinematography by Djordje Stojiljkovic, and editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao.
