Prabhas's 'Kalki 2898 AD' becomes the third highest all-time opening collection in Indian cinema!

Amid tremendous anticipation, Kalki 2898 AD, starring Prabhas, premiered globally in 2D, 3D, and IMAX formats yesterday. The film has received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike. In exciting news, Kalki 2898 AD has set a new record as the highest opening day grosser of 2024 in Indian cinema.

According to trade reports, Kalki 2898 AD grossed around 170 to 180 crores worldwide on its first day, with approximately 100 crores earned in India. This makes it the third highest all-time opener for an Indian film, just behind the Ram Charan and NTR starrer RRR and Prabhas' own Baahubali 2.

Notably, Prabhas is now the only Indian actor to have five films with over 100 crores in opening day gross. With astonishing reviews pouring in, Kalki 2898 AD is expected to gross even more money over the weekend, potentially making it an all-time blockbuster.
