Whoa! “Kalki 2898 AD” starring Prabhas and Kamal Haasan crosses 500 crore box-office mark

We're all aware that Prabhas's Kalki 2898 AD stormed cinemas worldwide last week, receiving widespread acclaim and a strong box office reception. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film unfolds in an apocalyptic future and is laced with references from Mahabharata.

Kalki 2898 AD has seen impressive box office success, grossing over 100 crores each day in its first three days (191.5, 107, and 117 crores), totalling 415 crores. Vyjayanthi Movies announced last night that the sci-fi epic crossed the 500 crore mark. Today, they updated that the global box office gross has surged to over 555 crores after just four days (opening weekend).

Notably, Kalki 2898 AD is the most expensive Indian film ever, produced at a budget of 600 crores. The film is poised to recover its budget by today. It has a star-studded cast including Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani, Pasupathy, Shobana, and others, with a stellar musical score by Santhosh Narayanan.
