It's known that Prabhas has been fighting in the High Court of Telangana over the seizure of his guest house at Raidurgam by revenue officials last month. On Wednesday, Justice V Ramasubramanian and Justice P Keshava Rao commented that Prabhas should have been given a notice of the intention to seize his guest house. Revenue officials had taken the extreme step without informing the actor.
On Thursday, fresh developments have taken place. During the hearing, the HC is learned to have made an allusion to 'Baahubali' to suggest that Prabhas had to stave off villains in reel life and has had to take recourse to legal options in real life.
The Telangana government's lawyer has reportedly described Prabhas as a land grabber. Even if he is one, he should have been kept informed about the seizure, the court is learned to have commented.
Prabhas' lawyer has held that the 'Saaho' actor built the guest house on the parcel of land he had acquired legally and regularized by paying a fee of Rs 1.05 Cr. However, a Supreme Court order says that the entire parcel of 84 acres in the Raidurgam area belongs to the State Government. (Not just Prabhas' land but many other pieces of plots are under litigation in the area).
In his petition filed last month, Prabhas mentioned that he had bought the piece of land (on which his guest house stands) from B Vaishnavi Reddy, Usha and Bommireddy Sashankreddy in 2005. There was no litigation over it. The petition also says that Prabhas was never part of the SC case.
