Is Prabhas acting in Hollywood movie ‘Mission Impossible 7’ – Director’s official clarification

Tollywood superstar Prabhas became a pan Indian star,  after the stupendous success of ‘Bahubaali’ and its sequel ‘Baahubali 2’, directed by S.S. Rajamouli.  The film also enjoyed an unprecedented run in the overseas market garnering huge praise all over and is considered an epic on par with Hollywood biggies.

A rumour started floating that Prabhas has signed on to play an important role in the upcoming action thriller ‘Mision Impossible 7’ starring Tom Cruise as the super-agent Ethan Hunt. A social media user asked the question straight to the director of the film if the involvement of Prabhas is true.

Christopher McQuarrie who has helmed the last two films of the franchise and currently shooting ‘Mission Impossible 7′ has replied “While he‘s a very talented man, we’ve never met. Welcome to the internet.”.

‘Mission Impossible 7’ apart from Tom Cruise also stars, Ving Rhames, Henry Czerny, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby, Angela Bassett and Frederick Schmidt.  Paramount Pictures has scheduled the release of the film for May 27, 2022.

Prabhas meanwhile is currently shooting for another pan Indian biggie ‘Salaar’ directed by Prashant Neel in which Shruti Haasan is playing his pair.  He also has the romantic epic film ‘Radhe Shyam’ with Pooja Hegde getting ready for release on July 30th 2021.
