Prabhas on Monday announced that he would be adopting 1,650 acres of forest land in the Khajipalli Urban Forest Block near Dundigal in Ranga Reddy district. The Telugu superstar has taken the decision under the stewardship of Rajya Sabha MP Joginapally Santosh Kumar, who has inspired several film celebs to come forward and participate in the Green India drive over the past few months.
"An urban Eco-park will be named by in the memory of late UVS Raju, the father of the 'Baahubali' actor," a source said. The actor, together with Santosh Kumar and Forest Minister, laid the foundation stone for the Eco-park.
The 'Saaho' actor, making the decision public, also donated Rs 2 Cr towards the maintenance of the forest block. If funds are further needed, the 'Radhe Shyam' actor will chip in with the needed money.
