'Power Star' Trailer Review: Direct, low-brow & cheap

The trailer for 'Power Star' is less explosive than that was thought. And it's more direct in mocking Pawan Kalyan, who gets renamed as Prawan in the web film.
Director Ram Gopal Varma takes the opportunity to ridicule Pawan at every step, even going to the extent of making a Chiranjeevi lookalike say that Pawan owes his superstardom to the fact that he is Megastar's brother.
From Chandrababu Naidu to Trivikram Srinivas (whom RGV indirectly alleges is Pawan's secret speech-writer) and Bandla Ganesh, the trailer spares none. Suggesting marital disputes between Pawan and his current wife because his ex-wife happens to call him up on the phone is the lowest low. It's not satire. It's juvenile gossip.
'Power Star' will start streaming on RGV World Theatre from 11 am, July 25.
