Potugadu Music Review

Manchu Manoj's films have always had a musical output that is peculiarly different from others.  Potugadu is on the same lines, though this time the quality is a notch higher.

A range of lyricists and singers make it a good album.

All songs need not entertain us by virtue of musical quality or lyrical flourish.  By tweaking with language here and there, a song can make an impact.  This one by Achu is one such peculiar number.  Bhasha Sri's irreverent language is a good fit.  Indu Nagaraj's unconventional, if not offbeat, voice is good.  Manoj makes a mark with his vocals.

Lyricist: Ramajogayya Sastry

Karthik's emotion-filled vocals are a big plus.  Ramajogayya Sastry attempts a heart-tugging lyrical output and passes muster, for he only rehashes the old themes.  Achu's instrumentation is not innovative, but the tune is catchy.

Lyricists: Achu, Manchu Manoj, Ramajogayya Sastry

This song proves what a melange of creators can achieve together.  The lyrics are a treat to ears for sure.  The wordings remind us of the sensational Kolaveri Di, though the irreverence is not high on content.  Silambarasan's excellent vocals make us want to join him in crooning.  A clap-worthy attempt by Achu and Co.

The song will surely remind of a zillion such crazy numbers!  Quite a disappointment actually, considering that the crooners are Geetha Madhuri and Hemachandra.  Low on musical quality, the mild succor is Manoj's lyrics, which, for a demanding listener, fall short of content.

Tippu's booming voice deserves a pat.  Ramajogayya Sastry's experimentation works, once again.  Everytime 'Govindaa' is chorused, one likes it.  If the picturisation is good, nothing will stop it from becoming a great hall-time hit.

The theme song is eminently forgettable, to say the least.  The song could entertain us on screen, with good choreography thrown in.

A soothing musical delivery, the more than 2 minutes output passes muster.

The music is intense and is intertwined with a sloka-like vocals.  Achu gets the instrumentation alright.
