A postal stamp featuring Nagarjuna as a singer, pictured next to the Taj Mahal, was released on the hands of Akkineni Naga Chaitanya and Akkineni Akhil in the afternoon.

Speaking on the occasion Naga Chaitanya said, "I am very happy to release this postal stamp on dad's birthday. He has made trend-setting films like 'Shiva', 'Geethanjali', and 'Ninne Pelladatha'. Even today, he is busy in delivering films like 'Manam', 'Soggade Chinni Nayana', and 'Oopiri'. He is doing things which we ought to be doing".

Akhil Akkineni said," I have known Roshan (Srikanth's son and hero of 'Nirmala Convent') since we were kids. I am very happy that dad has sung in Roshan's music direction. I am glad to be a part of this postal stamp launch on his birthday. Dad is our inspiration. Age is just a number for him".

Music director Roshan Saaluri said, "I am very happy that Nagarjuna sir agreed to sing a song for me. He asked me whether he is the right choice to croon it. But when I assured him that he will do great, he immediately agreed and went on to spend one complete day with me for the song. I feel very lucky to have got to work with Nagarjuna sir at so early a stage in my career".

Sarvesrara Rao, the President of All India Nagarjuna Fans Andhra Association, and Ravinder Reddy, the President of Telangana Association also participated in the event held at Annapurna Studios.
