A post-wedding photo shoot in Kerala's Kuttiyadi river near Janakikadu, turned tragic after the newly wed groom, slipped off a rock and drowned. The incident happened on Monday morning, when the bride and groom fell into the river while posing for photos. While the youngster identified as Rejil caught in the strong currents and drowned in the river, his wife Karthika was saved just in time by the public. Reportedly, the bride has been admitted to hospital in critical condition.

The couple got married only on March 14 and had come to the river for a post-wedding photo shoot, police said. According to relatives of the deceased, the couple postponed the outdoor wedding shoot to April 4 due to other engagements. The photo shoot started at 7 in the morning on Monday. According to the locals, the couple and the photographer were shooting in the safe shallow spots on the river. A police investigation is currently underway!
