'Pora Pove' is a mediocre album with some of the songs bordering on the banal. Music directed by Vindo Yajamanya, it has all seven songs in total, most of them insubstantial.
The singers are relatively less known, barring Baga Sehgal.
The lyrics make themselves known here and there.
Atu Chooste
Artist: Baba Sehgal
Lyricist: Chandrabose
The song is meant to be a tribute to the naughtiness of the teens and the 20s. Baba Sehgal makes an attempt to give it a lease of life with his famous voice. The lyrics are hardly creative. Vinod Yajamanya's music passes muster.
Oka Nuvvu
Artist: Vinod Yajamanya
Lyricist: Chandrabose
The song manages to make an impression at first instance mainly because of Vinod's vocals, which bear an uncanny resemblance to Adnan Sami's voice. The number has a romantic flavour at its core. The instrumentation is reminiscent of many other songs, but the song has its identity as well. The female voice is better than the male voice and is the song's raison d' etre.
I Hate You
Artist: Hari
Lyricist: Chandrabose
Earlier it used to be her everywhere. Look where she is omnipresent now: Twitter, Facebbok, Notebook, et al. The song is fluffy with nothing to write home about its musical quality or lyrical strength. The vocals are just about ok.
Biscuit
Artist: Uma Neha
Lyricist: Chandrabose
So, everything is a 'biscuit'. Be it the likes on Facebook or the long drives. The girl is apparently in know of it all. Making us wonder if this song was written by a Class XI student during leisure time in college, the song has even the brand names of the biscuit. Uma Neha's offbeat voice, that is good for item songs, comes to the fore again.
Ringula Juttu
Artists: Simha, Geeta Madhuri
Lyricist: Chandrabose
As if all the tributes to all silly things was not enough, this song bombards us with a few cuss words. Even though it is short, it is difficult take.
Adugu
Artist: Harshdeep Kaur
Lyricist: Chandrabose
In an album of banal songs, this number deserves some attention. The lyrics are meaningful. The writer captures the melancholic mood of the damsel in distress. Harshdeep Kaur's vocals are mesmerising. The instrumentation is worthy of mention.
O Chaitu
Artist: Narendra
Lyricist:
The song is peppy. Narendra's rendition is impressive. The lyrics are just about ok.
