Sujeesh PS, a popular Kochi-based tattoo artist was arrested by the Kerala Police on Sunday after six women made allegations of sexual assault, rape and molestations. The complaints were filed after the social media post of an 18-year-old woman went viral, recounting her horrendous experience at the Sujeesh PS's tattoo studio - Inkfected Tattoo Studio. After her post went viral, several other women recounted their sexual abuse experiences by the same tattoo artist in the last few years. All the women, who were his former clients, accused Sujeesh of groping, molesting and sexually assaulting them when they went to get tattoos made by him.

Sujeesh, who was on the run ever since the issue came out, was arrested by the Kochi city police team and has been sent to judicial custody for 14 days. He was booked under sections 354 (assault on woman with the intent to outrage modesty) and 376 (sexual assault) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) have been used.
