Popular singer Anju Joseph who entered the showbiz through music reality shows and later made her mark in Malayalam cinema as a singer is all set to make her acting debut. The actress, who is also a vlogger, has been roped in to play an important role in Sunil Ibrahim's upcoming thiller Roy, which has Suraj Venjaramoodu and Sija Rose in the lead roles. The diva is playing a Youtuber in the movie.

In an interview with TOI, the actress said that she landed up the roled accidentally. “Sunil ikka’s associate Bipin chettan is a friend of mine. Once, he called me and asked, ‘There is a film coming up, will you act?’ And I replied in jest, ‘why not?!’ It’s when he called me on later to finalize the schedules that I realized he is being serious!”, said Anju, who plays the female lead's cousin character. Anju will also be seen in Aishwarya Lekshmi-starrer Archana 31 Not Out. The gorgeous singer will be playing a teacher role, a friend of Aishwarya's character in the movie.
