Actress Saranya Sasi's life has not been a bed of roses. The actress has been battling a rare form of a brain tumour since 2012. After several surgeries, struggles and pain, it was recently the actress walked back to her normal life from the helpless bed-ridden stage. Actress Seema Nair, who is a close friend of the actress and has been with her throughout the treatment, recently shared a piece of the sad news that Saranya tested positive for COVID-19, and her health condition was getting worse.
Seema said that after the 11th surgery, Saranya's health has been deteriorating and her disease spread to the spinal nerve. "The doctor's advice was that it was not possible to perform a quick surgery on the spinal cord. Saranya was soon taken to the RCC. The chemo was scheduled to start on June 3. On May 23rd, Saranya, her mother Geeta, and her brother got infected by COVID-19," Seema G Nair informed through her YouTube channel. Saranya is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram.
Saranya started her career with a Balachandra Menon serial in 2006 and has done many films and soaps in Malayalam and Tamil. However, just when her career started taking off and became a household name among Keralites, she was affected with a brain tumour.
